Marketing Manager Apply

Small Giants Recruiting is representing a national general contracting firm located in Phoenix, AZ, who is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their firm. The core duties will include all aspects of marketing for a large firm, strategizing and leading proposal writing and layout, organizing and managing the marketing database, generation of collateral material and all activities related to the marketing and branding of the company.

Responsibilities & Duties Include:
• Organize, coordinate and control activities involved in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations and submittals.
• Compose and edit answers to technical essay-type questions.
• Assist in maintaining the database of marketing information (projects, people, boilerplate, SOQs, etc.) on the firm in an organized manner, both on paper and electronically, so that it can effectively be retrieved and used.
• Participate in the development of marketing resource materials.
• Coordinate, assemble and prepare materials for client presentations and interviews.
• Attend presubmittal meetings and various industry functions as needed
• Complete government Forms 330, 254 and 255

Software Application Knowledge:
Adobe CS3 or higher, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Small Giants Recruiting is representing a leading general contracting firm located in the east valley, who is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join their firm. The core duties will include all aspects of marketing for a mid-sized firm, including RFQ/RFP sumittals, generation of collateral material and all activities related to the marketing and branding of the company.
The position will require the Marketing Coordinator to attend presubmittal meetings as necessary, work with business development and technical staff to develop a strategy for the successful response of RFQs and RFPs and write, edit, design and layout the response by working closely with the company’s leadership team.

Responsibilities & Duties Include:
• Manage and coordinate the proposal/RFQ-RFP process
• Writing and editing or overseeing the development of qualification statements
• Prepare marketing materials and collateral
• Graphic design and photography coordination
• Develops and Maintains marketing information systems (proposal database, win/loss reports, resume and project description files, etc)
• Maintain public vendor registrations
• Serve as the main backup to the administrative assistant

Requirements:
• 2 years experience in A/E/C a must including experience responding to RFPs and RFQs
• Deadline-oriented
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop
• Well organized, persistent, tactful and enthusiastic. Works well with all types and levels of people, and without close supervision
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Demonstrates understanding of marketing and public relations, and working knowledge of firms’ business, policies, procedures, programs, and capabilities
• Ability to develop marketing programs through both original contributions and refinement of existing activities.

Sales/Business Developer Apply

Small Giants is representing a leading mechanical contractor who is seeking a Sales Person/Business Developer to develop strong relationships with clients, assist in procuring work and maintain client satisfaction, as well as maintain relationships with the local commercial real estate community. This candidate will also be responsible for the early identification and development of new project opportunities, searching out; identifying and establishing initial contact with leads and new business situations and be able to close the sale.

This company is seeking an individual who has a sense of urgency, initiative and a drive to get things done correctly, working independently to meet or exceed the companies’ goals. Must have a proven record of achieving sales goals and completing tasks on time.
The Sales/Business Development role will develop new sales opportunities and drive business growth by creating new contacts and identifying current and emerging market needs in the construction industry, build relationships with external parties including customers, suppliers and industry associations and work to develop opportunities for growth.

Summary of main responsibilities:

• Identify new opportunities with existing and/or prospective clients or new market segments
• Create a streamlined internal initiation, coordination and tracking system for lead management
• Regularly communicate with existing clients to ensure the clients is satisfied with the work performed
• Obtain critical client knowledge on potential opportunities and assist in gathering intelligence
• Network and represent the company at social and community events
• Generate and maintain sales reports
• Direct enrichment of relationships between all professional parties including clients and owners through meetings and special events

Skills:
The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate, possess strong sales skills, must be a good listener and have the ability to work independently as a self-starter. Critical thinking skills, solid business development t processes, and a natural ability to adapt to a wide variety of business and social environments is a must.

Degree & Experience:
5+ years of experience in sales required, construction/mechanical industry a plus. HVAC and/or plumbing estimating experience is also a plus.
